The Journey Begins with Curiosity
In this Walk and Talk, Josh Newton chats with Nabiha Saklayen 12C about the questions and experiences that shaped her path to becoming an entrepreneur. Drawn to Emory’s liberal arts approach and comprehensive science education, she could stretch beyond a single discipline, sharpen her critical thinking, and dig into the big ideas that first sparked her love of physics.
That same curiosity fuels her work today. While pursuing her PhD, Saklayen took an unconventional step for a physicist: cofounding a company. Now she integrates science and AI to build precise, scalable approaches to repairing damaged cells and tissues, with the goal of reversing symptoms of neurodegenerative and chronic diseases.
