The Black Emory Impact Circle advances the causes of Black communities through the power of collective philanthropic giving. Think: funding global education experiences for underrepresented groups, making education more accessible, or creating space for Black women to be mentored. Funding these much-needed initiatives relies on the generosity of donors at every level.

The Black Emory Impact Circle is seeking additional leadership donors. Contact Ricardo Horne at ricardo.horne@emory.edu to learn about making a gift of $25,000 or more.

"Emory gave me the opportunity to grow and develop as a person, as a leader, as a scholar, and as someone who was outspoken and a student advocate. That’s where I learned how to do the grassroots work in diversity, equity, and inclusion that I continue to do today."

2023–2024 Grant Recipients

All Black Emory is a program supported by the Barkley Forum that captures the stories and experiences of Black students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Its capacity used to be limited by the availability of shared video and sound equipment from Emory Libraries. With funding from the Black Emory Impact Circle, All Black Emory purchased its own equipment to amplify Black voices. The Black Emory Impact Circle was so impressed by the application, it awarded the group three times the requested amount.

Now in its tenth year, The Kitchen Table supports belonging, engagement, and well-being for the shared and lived experiences of Black women on the Atlanta campus. Funding from the Black Emory Impact Circle supported this student-led organization in crafting spaces and programs specifically for Black women and their allies
