Jessica Rollin 11M 16MR

Psychiatrist | Rollin Psychiatry | Atlanta, GA

Jessica Rollin is perpetually trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She ended up at Emory on a whim (no ties to Atlanta and the only school she applied to not in the Northeast or Midwest.) But she found a place where her many divergent, seemingly conflicting interests were nurtured. At the medical school, she met incredible mentors and friends as well as her partner in all things, Francois Rollin. She stayed on for psychiatry residency and was chief resident for outpatient training. She moved to the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico in 2015 and spent three years working for the Indian Health Service. While there, her passion for trauma-informed care, health care worker burnout, and delivering psychotherapy to wider populations grew. She returned to Atlanta with three kids and a dog in tow and established her own practice in Grant Park. She is currently pursuing further training as a psychoanalyst through Emory's unique university-based institute and sometimes thinks about a PhD.
