President, English for a Lifetime
Joel Floyd is a champion of immigrant education and English language literacy. In 2012, he founded English for a Lifetime, an adult education, English language institute that provides immigrants with foundational academic and vocational English skills critical to their progress in the United States. As an adult education school leader, Floyd’s constant goal is to ensure that faculty, staff, and other internal stakeholders are provided with a robust skill set that leads to successful adult learning outcomes and workforce readiness. He’s also led several professional development seminars for teachers across Georgia.
Floyd earned a master’s degree in theological studies from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
