Director of Impact
Frontier Design
Atlanta, Georgia
Meet Amelia Conrad, a lifelong advocate for positive change. Inspired from a young age, Amelia launched her first petition in fifth grade and, by high school, was volunteering for political campaigns. At Tulane University, she researched women’s caregiving, paid work, and political participation in Peru, delving into the intersectional challenges faced by those confronting systemic inequities.
After earning a master’s degree in development practice, focusing on gender equity and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), she conducted evaluations at CARE, the international poverty-fighting organization; and The Carter Center. She also produced a MEL toolkit for organizations fighting forced labor and trafficking, and she researched women’s empowerment in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Now, as the director of impact at Frontier Design, she helps government, philanthropic, and nonprofit clients harness data, evidence, and storytelling to drive equity, empowerment, and transformative change. Conrad also gives back to the Emory community by teaching and mentoring.
When she’s not working, Conrad can be found hiking and running on trails around Atlanta, reading and writing creative nonfiction and fiction, or cooking elaborate meals for friends and family. She loves spending time with her Great Pyrenees puppy and exploring new travel adventures. Conrad finds fulfillment in empowering others to make the world a better place and values the incredible support system she has built through her connections at Emory.
