Codi Norred 17T

Executive Director
Georgia Interfaith Power and Light
Decatur, Georgia

Codi Norred has dedicated more than a decade to championing environmental justice, tackling climate change, and promoting sustainability. Drawn to the Candler School of Theology master’s in divinity degree program, Norred focused on justice, peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and human rights. During his time at Candler, he engaged in the Candler Advantage program, taking the opportunity to explore peacebuilding in post-conflict Northern Ireland. This experience unveiled the intrinsic link between climate, environmental justice, and community peacebuilding.

Following graduation, Norred began working as an associate for programs and policy at Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, an organization collaborating with faith communities across the state on climate change and environmental justice initiatives. In 2020, he became executive director.
