Fatemah Albader 17L

Assistant Professor of International Law | Kuwait International Law School | Kuwait

Fatemah Albader came to Emory School of Law through a chance encounter. She learned of Emory through a family friend who was an Emory alum, who told her that she would be a great fit there. Albader applied and never looked back. It was at Emory where she discovered, for the first time, her passion to teach, inspire, and motivate. Her passion for human rights took off from there. Today, she is a strong advocate for human rights in the Gulf region. She was invited to speak on behalf of women's rights in her region by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is not afraid to speak up on some of the most provocative issues facing the region. Thus far, her publications have tackled honor killings, citizenship rights, women in parliament, and more. Staying true to having once been described in the news as "the academic smashing the patriarchy one article at a time." She is proud to have called Emory her home.
