Jasmina Salcinovic-Spahic has been practicing as a physician assistant for more than 12 years. Since she graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, she has worked in clinics throughout Iowa in family practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, compensation and pension (disability examiner), medical hematology-oncology, and as a care in the community provider. She has been working full-time at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center since 2013. She also graduated from Des Moines University with a master’s in health care administration and from the University of Lynchburg with a doctor of medical science. The American Association of Physician Assistants awarded her the highest credentials that a physician assistant can achieve, Diplomate Fellow, in April of 2020 and featured her story on its website in January 2021.
