LR Baker Consulting
Tucson, Arizona
Meet Lindsey Baker, an advocate for social equity, whether that comes in the form of decreasing food insecurity or increasing access to health care. With more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector, Baker has held roles ranging from chief operating officer of the Jewish Community Foundation and Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona to director of programs at Feeding America. In 2022, she launched her own nonprofit consulting firm, leveraging her psychology and sociology degree from Emory and her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management to support local and national nonprofits.
At Emory, Baker served as the co-director of Volunteer Emory, sparking her interest in nonprofit management. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a dedicated patient advocate in the fight against cancer, having been diagnosed with breast cancer during the pandemic. Baker champions breast and gynecologic health awareness and support services. She is also an active member of the Tucson Medical Center Health Foundation’s Board of Directors and vice chair of The Gregory School’s Board of Trustees.
Baker finds fulfillment in her work by addressing social inequities and supporting diverse missions. Her journey is deeply influenced by her time at Emory, where she learned the importance of systems-level work and community building. When she’s not working, Baker enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
