Prakriti Gill 09C is an assistant professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine and serves as the assistant fellowship director for the Weill Cornell Emergency Medicine Research Fellowship. She completed her pediatrics residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, followed by a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and an acute care global health fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
During her global health training, Gill worked clinically, conducted research, and taught in the Dominican Republic, Botswana, Rwanda, and at an Indian Health Service site. Collaborating with colleagues internationally and mentoring students and trainees interested in global health have been highlights of her medical career.
She graduated from Emory on the Dean’s List with a major in biology and a minor in Spanish. Her study abroad experience in Spain enables her to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients. While at Emory, she served as president of Colleges Against Cancer, danced with Karma Bhangra, and sang in the University Chorus, experiences that shaped her leadership and community engagement.
