Priya Garg 08C

Chief Engagement and Diversity Officer
American Osteopathic Association
Chicago, Illinois

Priya Garg embarked on her career journey after earning a bachelor’s in international studies from Emory University. Her path led her to the Nanubhai Education Foundation, where she had the unique opportunity to live and work in a rural village in Gujarat, India. This experience allowed her to reconnect with her heritage, building on the supportive South Asian community she discovered at Emory.

Upon returning to the United States, Garg joined the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in 2011. Over the years, she has risen to the position of chief engagement and diversity officer, leading the organization's efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Notably, she is the first person to hold this role at the AOA, and her work has left a significant impact on the osteopathic profession. Garg has been instrumental in developing programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and its leadership.

In 2020, Garg added an MBA in health care management from Loyola University Chicago to her list of achievements. She is dedicated to giving back to her community and serves as a board member of East Lakeview Neighbors, a neighborhood organization.
