Sally Hamacher thrives in the face of new challenges. She currently calls London home, serving as the chief financial officer for Amazon’s retail businesses in the UK and Turkey.

During her undergraduate years, Hamacher pursued mathematics and economics, finding a unique intersection between her fascination with numbers and her love for sports. She kicked off her career as an intern with the Atlanta Silverbacks FC. This initial experience eventually evolved into a full-time role as the controller for the Silverbacks, and later, she took on the role of controller for a technology startup. Seeking further knowledge, she pursued an MBA at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Following her MBA, she joined Amazon, and throughout her more than 11-year tenure with the company, she has held various financial roles in both the retail and devices divisions. Beyond her professional life, she is passionate about running marathons, participating in triathlons, and playing tennis. She channels her love for running to support charitable causes, raising more than $15,000 for organizations in both the United States and United Kingdom.
