Sumeet Bahl 05C

MD, Interventional Radiologist | The Brooklyn Hospital Center | New York, NY

As a physician and meditator, Sumeet Bahl operates on one principle: loving kindness. Bahl is Emory gold and blue. He was raised in Atlanta, his mother was an Emory employee, he worked in dermatology while earning his bachelor of arts in anthropology, and performed research at the Emory Transplant Center before medical school. He even met his wife, Gayatri, an actor, dancer, and filmmaker, in their freshman year at Emory. After residency and fellowship at Mount Sinai in New York City, Bahl began as an interventional radiologist in Brooklyn. He loves teaching meditation, notably for Yelp and the presumptive mayor of New York City. Under the Emory-Tibet partnership, he performed research on compassion meditation and the immune response to stress. He is the physician representative for NYC Hip Hop is Green, promoting the plant-based diet in hip-hop culture. He is a residential and commercial real estate entrepreneur, who loves seeing his projects build from the ground up. For Bahl, the sky’s the limit.
