Yeou-Rong Jih 09C advocates for healthier, more equitable communities. She developed her commitment to social justice at Emory, where she honed strategic problem-solving skills through interdisciplinary studies and deepened her understanding of social movements, including through the Emory Tibetan Mind-Body Summer Abroad Program.

After graduating, Jih earned a master’s degree from the University of Oxford and pursued leadership roles in municipal government and nonprofit organizations focused on climate equity. She served in the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, contributing to the development and implementation of resilience and clean energy strategies. She currently serves as a program officer at The Kresge Foundation, supporting nonprofits and communities working to combat and adapt to climate change while advancing racial and economic justice.
