Benedict Owanga, founder of Owanga, is working to revolutionize battery manufacturing and expand access to electricity in communities in Africa. With roots in the Democratic Republic of Congo and experiences across South Africa, Canada, and the United States, he’s an Emory Law alumnus passionate about innovation and social entrepreneurship. His mission is to empower communities by establishing Congo’s first battery manufacturing plant, fostering job creation and sustainable development, and ensuring reliable electricity access for all.
