Charlie Goetz is associate professor in organization and management. He joined Goizueta Business School in the fall of 2001. Prior to his foray into academia, he had more than 15 years of experience in developing, implementing, and growing entrepreneurial ventures. Charlie has been responsible for starting and building nine new ventures to date, employing hundreds of employees and delivering returns to investors in many cases far exceeding initial investment expectations. He is an angel investor in multiple businesses and a co-founder of Advancing Healthcare Innovation in Africa, a nonprofit that helps African scientists bring essential health care innovation to the market. Goetz has written two nonfiction books: The Great Entrepreneurial Divideā€”The Winning Tactics of Successful Entrepreneurs and Why Everyone Else Fails! Fifth Edition, and So You Want to Start a Business? 8 Steps to Take Before Making the Leap. His first novel, Angels of Conspiracy, is a political thriller.
