Jaiyoun Choi 26C

Jaiyoun Choi is a fourth-year psychology major with a business minor. His interest in mental health developed through hands-on work with psychiatric patients at the Emory Clinical Neuroscience Research Unit, where he supported research teams and observed clinical care. On campus, he is active in several leadership roles. As an orientation coordinator, he helps design programming for new students. He is co-president of the Korean Undergraduate Student Association and co-president and outreach chair for the Emory Helpline, and he previously led the Asian Health Alliance.

These experiences shape his long-term goal of pursuing a joint MD/MPH degree and specializing in trauma and addiction psychiatry. He hopes to combine clinical practice with advocacy to improve access to mental health services. Whether supporting first-year students or offering peer-based help through the helpline, he brings a calm and community-centered approach to leadership.
