Kaitlyn Ruo-Hsin Lung 25Ox 27C
Kaitlyn Lung is a third-year student majoring in neuroscience and behavioral biology on the pre-med track. She became interested in neuroendocrinology after attending a maternal mental health conference that highlighted gaps in research on hormonal fluctuations. At Oxford College, she worked in a lab studying estradiol’s effects on the social behavior of zebrafish and held roles with SciOx magazine, Volunteer Oxford, and the Oxford Neuroscience Student Association.
Lung also volunteered at the Washington Street Community Center, tutoring K–6 students, and received the Adrian L. Grass Scholarship. On Emory’s Atlanta campus, she serves as director of special events for TEDxEmory, works as a CPR instructor, is a registered behavior technician at the Marcus Autism Center, and conducts research with the Pediatric Neuroimaging Core. She is committed to improving research and care in historically overlooked areas of science, including maternal health.
