Society of Corpus Cordis Aureum
The Society of Corpus Cordis Aureum, created in 2004, recognizes Emory alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Corpus cordis aureum is Latin for “Golden Corps of the Heart,” and the society has more than 15,000 members worldwide.
Society members are known as Golden Eagles. They have opportunities to connect and participate with the university in ways that inspire other alumni and students beyond the classroom.

Commencement Robing Ceremony and Procession
Monday, May 11, 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
After a special breakfast, the Golden Eagles don robes and lead the graduating class at Commencement.

Golden Alumni Brunch

All SCCA Members are invited to this annual tradition where the Class of 1976 will be recognized for their 50-year milestone and the Jake’s Golden Heart Award will be presented.
Jake’s Golden Heart Award
Society members can be nominated for Jake’s Golden Heart Award, named for former dean of alumni Judson Ward 33C 36G, who was known for his heart of gold. Each year, the award is presented during the Golden Alumni Brunch to a Golden Eagle who honors Emory through generosity, loyalty, and service.
