Jamie Koh 07BBA


Jamie Koh 07BBA was no stranger to the food and beverage industry when she decided to open Singapore’s first full-fledged micro-distillery specializing in producing high-quality small batch craft spirits. The third in her burgeoning epicurean empire, Koh is also the owner of Chupitos, Singapore's first and only shooters bar. Next she opened The Beast Southern Kitchen and Bourbon Bar, featuring southern classics, including fried chicken and waffles and a range of bourbons. But launching the Brass Lion Distillery was different. Koh spent six years apprenticing in distilleries in North America to master the art, then headed back to Singapore to perfect the recipe for her signature gin, Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin—a tropical and distinctly Singaporean gin that evokes the island’s sense of place by only using ingredients central to Asia and in context with Asian culture. Koh has said she hopes to “elevate the city’s local drinking culture and further affirm Singapore’s thriving bar scene on the world map and build a global spirits brand.”
