Co-founded by Philip Stein 04L, StreamCut Media, an independent record label based in Atlanta, had its business beginnings in YouTube. The company specialized in collecting royalties for producers and artists on the website. But as the company grew, its operations have expanded to collecting advertising revenue, ensuring music is digitally (and profitably) distributed, creating a branch to grow an artist’s fan base via strategic content creation and social media management, and has even opened a recording studio.

Stein and StreamCut Media currently serve more than 250 artists and producers, primarily in the urban space, including Gunna, Ann Marie, Miss Mulatto, Young Nudy, 6 Dogs, Yung Bans, Turbo, JetsonMade, and Danny Wolf. Steeped in a culture of transparency, their business model is almost unheard of in the industry, giving ownership back to the artists and credits to producers and songwriters.
